Masjid Jamek Mosque is one place for history of Malaysia - Full history of the mosque was built in 1909, and is the oldest mosque in the city. The mosque is located at the meeting, the Klang River and Gombak River, the birthplace of Kuala Lumpur.

Architecture is inspired by Mogul architecture of northern India, and it opened officially as the National Mosque in 1965.

Currently, there is a new national mosque, Masjid Jamek mosque still be an important due to its strategic location in the heart of Kuala Lumpur.

The location, near supermarket, food center and business areas make it an always visited the public. In fact, the cultural attractions that enrich the history of Kuala Lumpur.

Useful Tips:

  • If entering the mosque, be sure to dress modestly because this area of worship. 
  • For transportation, go to LRT station and stop at Masjid Jamek. The mosque is located near this station.
